Travel to the Conference Venue
Air Travel
Manchester Airport is an international airport operating flights to and from over 200 destinations. Travelling to the conference venue from the airport is a 25 minute direct train journey to the nearest station, Oxford Road.
Train
There are four central train stations in Manchester, all within 2 miles of the conference venue:
– Oxford Road – 15 minute walk to conference venue, accessible via other central stations
– Piccadilly, Victoria, Deansgate – 10 – 20 minute public transport journey to conference venue

Travel for Greater Manchester provide a full overview of public transport, including journey planning, ticketing and timetable information.
Bus
Stagecoach Magic Buses (142, 143, 147) run in and out of the city centre via the university for just £1.50 per journey. There is also a free bus running 7 days a week along multiple routes within the city centre.
Tram
The Manchester Metrolink runs frequent services across 7 lines and 4 Zones. This network provides an efficient option for travelling around and beyond the city centre.
Train
Regular trains run between central stations and into the Greater Manchester area.
Taxi
There are numerous taxi services such as Street Cars, Manchester Taxi Service, and Radio Cars. Uber also operates in and around Manchester.
Cycling and Walking
Take advantage of Manchester’s cycle paths and canals by exploring the city on foot or bike.

The conference location has a variety of king and executive rooms and suites with access to a range of facilities including room service, restaurant, bar and fitness centre.

Alternative Accommodation
If you would prefer to stay elsewhere, there are many other hotels near the University and in the city centre.
There are numerous affordable 2 and 3 star accommodation options, such as the Holiday Inn Express Manchester Oxford Road, Travelodge Manchester Upper Brook Street, and Ibis Manchester Princess Street.
The Principal Hotel and Midland Hotel also offer a variety of rooms and suites in iconic buildings with landmark architecture.
